snow-covered city♥

It's weird seeing a city covered in snow because snow is calm and quiet and the city is loud and chaotic. Together, they're beautiful.
Where'd my city go? The streets are completely deserted so I walk in the middle. I took this photo on my way to Kairshma's house to go sledding. The wind was treacherous, the hills were steep, the walk was long. It was wonderful.
Then we sipped hot chocolate and ate a warm dinner while watching 500 Days of Summer. I love that movie.

day with the men♥

I had a really, really great day with Dad and my brothers. We ate some NY style pizza (our favorite!), went grocery shopping, toured the new gym on campus (LOVE IT), ate some more (hehe), drove around aimlessly for a while and relaxed by the river. It is very cold though. It's alright, we all had fun :)
I JUST REALIZED TODAY THAT MY NAME BACKWARDS IS ACTUALLY ANOTHER NAME. Anisah backwards is Hasina, and it's an Indian name that means 'Beautiful'. How cool is that? And incase you haven't heard, my name as it is means 'Intimate Companion' ;) This realization makes me happyyy.

OUR FLOOR STINKS. AND SOMEONE VOMITED IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM SINK (rhyme!). For those of you who don't know me, I'm scared of vomit. It's a pretty weird thing to be scared of but... I run from it. Hopefully I will get over that soon. Seriously, though? The laundry room sink? That's disgusting

P.S. The photos are random ones I took on our aimless drive today.

appreciate good talent.
and check out all her other videos because she's amazing.

And I will love to see that day
That day is mine
When he will marry me outside with the willow trees
And play the songs we made
They made me so
And I would love to see that day
His day was mine

pay attention♥

No matter how careful you are, there’s going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn’t experience it all. There’s that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should’ve been paying attention.

Do you know what I hate hate hate hate? Dissecting books in class. I usually really like the books we read in class (don't judge). BUTTT. I hate analyzing everything the author writes. SERIOUSLY? The author probably said the guy's shirt was black because that's the only clean shirt he had. NOT because it foreshadows his depression to come. Hey, maybe it does mean something more, but I'm not really interested in that. Anyway, when I love a book, I like to enjoy it without having to write three essays about it and whatnot. I mean, it's interesting to know kind of what the author wanted the reader to find out, but I also think every reader should take from it what they can. Ya know? I just read Flight for my English class... and I really, really liked it. I hope I feel the same way at the end of this semester.

I couldn’t admit it before but now I’m actually really sad to be leaving home to start classes again... :(

Home is where the heart is.

And I didn’t get enough this winter break.

feeling good♥

Birds flying high
You know how I feel

Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me...
And I'm feeling good

"It should not be denied... that being footloose has always exhilarated us. It is associated in our minds with escape from history and oppression and law and irksome obligations, with absolute freedom." -Wallace Stegner

I can’t explain myself, I’m afraid, Sir, because I’m not myself you see.

at my age, EVERYTHING is trial and error.
it's getting old.

I love 500 Days of Summer. I love the idea of Autumn.

I have no idea what's going on in the world right now. It's disgusting.

I'm pretty excited about school. and about my newest addition to my boot collection. cute, cuteee.

You can tell a lot about a person by the company he/she keeps.
I keep wayy too much company for you to learn anything about me that way.

I looked up through my sky window and only saw one lonely star. goodnight.

2010 will be even greater.
Ohh hey, look at that! it's Hong Kong, baby.
How cool would it be to celebrate the Chinese New Year in HK?
Anyway, Happy New Year, everyone :)
2009 was one of my favorite years so far.
We had some laughs, some cries, and some outrageous times. Thanks for the memories.
